The first trial for the Canada Winter Games was hosted in St. Quentin on September 22, 2018. A HUGE thank you to Sensei Rino Perron and the Kachi Judo Club for offering up their space to host this event; our Canada Games volunteers Josée Daigle (Female Coach), Stéphane Bérubé (Male Coach), and Shawn McManus (Manager), Referees Fred Blaney, Mike Hetherington, Bertin Bossé, Margaret Doyle and Guy Pelletier, and all the athletes...
Last weekend saw 57 female athletes take control of the Fredericton Judo Club to learn from Shu-Tai Cheng and her students. Shu-Tai has been practicing judo for over 40 years anbd has coached at both the national and international level.
Through a number of hands on training activities, the girls grew as judokas, pushed their limits and made new friends in the process. A very successful camp!
The winning ticket for the Arctic Cat 400 was Ticket #0450 sold to Grant Bell from Richard McLean of Tani Koi. Clubs across the province sold 1708 tickets, resulting in approximately $10,000 of profit for Judo across the province.
Congratulations Grant and THANK YOU to MacLeans Sports for your support in this fundraiser.
